This Summer series (2024) is reflecting the the past and present. Painting and sewing!
The thistle represents devotion, bravery, determination and strength. The purple and pink flower have been a representation of royalty in Victorian England. I have been surrounded by these beautiful but thorny plants in Northern California from a very early age. I love their beauty and respect their thorns.
